About Hackefors Porslin
Hackefors Porslins was founded in 1929 by John O. Nilsson in Hackefors just outside Linköping, Sweden. Hertha Bengtson was the main designer. Other designers used were Yngve Norberg, Gunther Frahm-Jansen and Marita Sjölund. In 1942 the factory was expanded and the workforce was about 150 people. Production continued until 1957, when the factory was sold to Åke Elmberg and Elo Ylve. They decided to stop porcelain production and instead return to importing porcelain in semi-finished products which were then decorated in Linköping. The number of employees decreased at the same time by 80%. Between 1957 and 2007, the factory had several owners. Today, Hackefors belongs to Porslinfabriken Lidköping.
